Heartsaver Classes

 Heartsaver CPR / AED

This class is perfect for anyone who wants to learn CPR / AED for personal reasons or for their job or school. Examples include: personal trainers, babysitters, nannies, teachers, and the like. This is NOT the best class for persons who are in or want to get into fields of healthcare – see BLS below. This includes adult, child, and infant CPR as well as how to help an adult, child, or infant who is choking.

 Heartsaver First Aid / CPR / AED

This class is perfect for anyone who wants to learn First Aid, CPR, and AED training for personal reasons or for their job or school. Examples include: day care providers, day care owners, boy/girl scout leaders, some personal trainers – anyone who wants to learn these subjects or whose job requires them to know these skills. In addition to First Aid topics, this includes adult, child, and infant CPR as well as how to help an adult, child, or infant who is choking.

 Heartsaver First Aid

This class is perfect for anyone who wants to learn First Aid only. This class does not discuss any CPR topics. This class is typically taken by child care providers, day care owners, people working with children, boy/girl scout leaders, and the like. People in healthcare seldom need this class. Inquire with your academic institution and employer as to which classes you need.

 Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid / CPR / AED

This class is intended for those involved in childcare who may have to help infants and children before emergency services are called. Daycare workers, boy/girl scout leaders, camp counselors, coaches, and anyone dealing with infants and children. Please ask your academic institution and/or your employer as to which class is required.

Healthcare Provider Classes

Basic Life Support (BLS)

This CPR class is for persons who either want to work in healthcare related fields or who already do. Examples include but are not limited to: Doctors, nurses, emergency medical technicians, respiratory therapists, physical therapists, occupational therapists – anyone who has direct patient care. It is best to ask your academic institution and/or employer as to which class you need.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

This class is intended for people currently in healthcare who either direct or participate in resuscitation efforts of adults who are in need of resuscitation. Strong BLS skills are required as well as a knowledge of EKG and pharmacological therapies.

Founded in 2008, Chicago CPR Now serves the city of Chicago and the surrounding cities and states with high quality CPR training opportunities for babysitters, nannies, fitness professionals, child care providers, doctors, nurses, dentists, and other healthcare industries. All of our instructors work in healthcare related fields.  This does not just make us good instructors, but it allows us to practice these skills on a regular basis making us better instructors. We have the advantage of practicing the skills we teach hundreds of people a month making us Chicago’s favorite CPR company.
